Weather affects tomatoes and all other fruits and produce more than anything else. When weather becomes less then ideal it takes the experience of both the buyer and all those involved in the packing process to make sure that the level of quality remains constant. It just doesn't rain or get cold for one Farmer and not his neighbor.
